Africa - Day 13 - Jinga

Today woke up before the alarm went off so clearly 6.15am now feels like a lie in. We have a long day of driving ahead of us on the wonderful Ugandan roads. Apparently hippo came to visit us in the night and we woke up with warthog back in the camp. After breakfast we set of and enjoyed seeing probably our last animals of the trip as we drove back through the national park to the main road. More zebra and many different types of antelope, impala, water buck etc. Being a long drive I have started having to get used to the bush toilet, this is one part of the trip I will not miss. We took a lunch break at the equator and had time to look in the local craft shops. We were able to finish off getting pressies and even managed to find a piece of artwork for our house. Most recent holidays we have been on we have bought a painting to hang up. Soon we will need to build an extension to make room for them. We arrived at the campsite in Jinga and once again it is beautiful. The bar overlooks the Nile river and apparently they have the best showers for a campsite in East Africa, always hot. They didn't have the view and no lights but they were lovely and for the first time since we left Rwanda I feel clean again. We are told about all the different adrenaline junkie activities and most of the group booked on for the full day. Ryan is also going for the bungee jump before hand along with one of the guides Elisha. We get a really long lie in tomorrow as breakfast isn't served until 8am, oh well will just have to stay at the bar longer to make sure I don't wake up too early.
