Miraculously bed time went to plan, seems the threat of visiting the nuremberg war trials museum rather than playmobil fun park was enough to convince them to sleep, and I'm pleased since that didn't exactly float my boat either.

Nuremberg was another town chosen purely because it was between the Rhine and Prague. I had managed to find a toy and a train museum that would have been interesting as a family along with visiting the old town but turns out the only day they close is Monday 😖.

Hours spent researching and reading other family blogs I heard about playmobil fun park that was 20 minutes outside the town. My kids are the perfect age and so decided to drop the cultural visits and let them have a whole day living their best life.

Surprisingly we've made it to 1.20pm before they are asking for food and snacks 😂

As you can see the content of today's blog is just full of pics of the kids running around with so much excitement they don't know what to do first.

They've done so much climbing and negotiating difficult rope bridges. Robert made a few friends and it's lovely to see kids just playing together despite language barriers. Liliya spent ages washing the horses and unicorns and wanted her picture taking with every mermaid. They were truly entertained for a long while in pirate land where they were digging for treasure.

Today is one of our longer driving days, this morning was 1.5hrs and then 2hrs in the evening. We're yet to find the time to cook in the van, despite smuggling across the corned beef, and tonight was no different. We left when the park closed at 7pm in the hope that we'd give the kids a quick bite to eat, change them into pj's and hope they fall asleep en route and can be transferred to their sleeping bags.

With only 5 minutes to go on the sat nav I was a little concerned about where the route was taking us, it's pitch black and there seems to be nothing for miles around. But sure enough as the sat nav announced that we had arrived there was a gate that led into a field.

The website, last updated in 2019, states that a shower is going to be installed so 4 years on we're crossing our fingers. Sure enough there is one installed, sadly the hose pipe doesn't have a connector to attach to the shower 😂🚿

Awning out, since we're at our first official camp site of the trip, so I can make use of my camping washing line followed by chairs, alcohol and snacks once again.
